What is Boudoir?

Boudoir is one of the sexiest upcoming trends in portrait photography. It's not completely new though, during WWII was when the term "Blonde Boomshell" was first adapted when artist like Vargus started painting sexy ladies on military planes. Boudoir is classy and elegant, highlighting your feminine beauty with a combination of casual and candid poses for all women of ALL shapes and sizes. (No cheesy backdrops, feather boas or embarrassing poses that you're ashamed of, nor do you need to be a size two.)

Is there a difference between Boudoir & Pinups?

Yes! One of the things that interested me in boudoir was pinup artist like Gil Elvgren and Vargas, but there is a difference. When I think of pinups I think of poses and props (Remeber "P"). Also I think pinup style photography is done best with plain backdrops and a nostalgic retro flare. Boudoir is a little more natural style, more candid and in the moment photographs rather than the posed pinups. I love both styles and both are sexy and fabulous!
